OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media meets with Ambassador of Uzbekistan
On 12 February 2021, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM), Teresa Ribeiro, met with Ambassador Abat Fayzullaev to discuss co-operation of the Office of the Representative with the authorities of Uzbekistan.

On 12 February 2021, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM), Teresa Ribeiro, met with Ambassador Abat Fayzullaev to discuss co-operation of the Office of the Representative with the authorities of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, Ribeiro addressed several cases of gender-related harassment of female journalists and the arrest of blogger Otabek Sattoriy.
Fayzullaev spoke about his country’s need for capacity-building in the field of media freedom. Ribeiro also underlined her interest in visiting the country and holding an annual regional media conference in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent.
