About
The theme of this year's Forum is "Media, State, Society: Digital Security and Media Literacy." The main issues to be discussed include the role of the state, media and society in development of information space; the influence of the Internet on designing of reality; digital safety and protection of personal data; freedom of expression in Central Asia, possibilities for media; media literacy of audience as the most effective instrument of counteraction against promotion and fake news; xenophobia and hostility language; and the role of the state in regulation of the media sphere.
The Office of the OSCE Representative will speak on the panel related to countering destructive content, including disinformation and propaganda. Independent experts, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, journalists, lawyers, internet activists will participate in the event.
