To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, the Representative's Office hosted an expert panel discussion in Vienna on 29 February 2008, initiated by the Finnish Chairman-in-Office.
Published by the OSCE Representative, this book is a collection of the presentations given at the event, with additional articles by the Representative's Office on aspects of its work such as legal reviews, guaranteeing media freedom on the Internet, promoting public-service broadcasting, and placing the 2006 cartoon controversy into a broader context.
